Blake Eagle

Blake Eagle is a pioneer in the institutional real estate industry and the former Thomas G. Eastman Chairman of Center for Real Estate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Blake served as the head of real estate consulting for Russell Investments (formerly Frank Russell Company), a global pension fund asset strategy consultant and investment advisor, and on the Boards of Directors of three real estate investment advisors, three publicly listed real estate investment companies, one real estate securities mutual fund, and four private real estate investment funds. Blake also served on the Advisory Boards of the Wharton Real Estate Center, University of Pennsylvania, Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), and the Real Estate Advisory Committee of New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS). Blake provided expert testimony to The Presidents Commission on Housing, the Department of Labor and the US Senate Banking Committee on US pension fund real estate investment practices. In addition to various other industry awards and recognitions, Blake was honored with lifetime achievement awards from the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) (an organization he founded), The Wharton Real Estate Center, and Hoyt Institute. Blake is a recipient of the James A. Graaskamp Award from the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) in recognition of his contributions to the body of knowledge in the field of institutional investment in real estate. Blake received a BA from University of Washington and pursued postgraduate studies in real estate at the University of California, Berkeley.
