CRAA® Certification Renewal

Join us in leading the real assets revolution by renewing your CRAA® certification annually. By maintaining your certification, you not only retain the right to use the CRAA® certification marks but also affirm your dedication to enhancing the industry through high standards of practice, professionalism, and ethical integrity. Renewal showcases your commitment to continuous improvement and positions you as a trusted expert in the ever-evolving real assets sector.

Renewal Makes a Difference

Renewing your CRAA® certification each year is more than a formality — it’s a critical process that upholds the integrity and credibility of the credential. By renewing, you ensure the CRAA® certification remains a trusted mark of excellence within the profession and for the public. Your annual certification dues directly support RPII’s mission to elevate real assets education with rigor and relevance. RPII also funds essential research and outreach initiatives worldwide, pushing the boundaries of the real assets industry and driving value creation for all stakeholders in both the built and natural environments.

Certification Renewal and Maintenance Pathway

1.  Renew Through Your Online RPII Account

To maintain active CRAA® certification, you must renew by May 31 each year. The renewal window typically opens a month prior, allowing you to easily complete the process via your RPII online account.

During renewal, you'll be prompted to verify or update your personal information. Most importantly, you must reaffirm your commitment to RPII’s Code and Principles of Professional Conduct, including disclosing any material matters related to your professional behavior. Failure to accurately complete your Renewal Ethics Declaration may result in sanctions or suspension of your certification.

2.  Ensure Completion of the CE Requirement

The Continuing Education (CE) Requirement ensures that CRAA® certificants continually update their knowledge and skills in real assets, staying current with industry trends. To renew, you must affirm the completion of at least 26 hours of CE content within the Certification Period.

3.  Submit Your Renewal Dues

Renewal dues must be paid before the end of the Certification Period, which runs from June 1 to May 31. These dues support RPII in maintaining the value of CRAA® certification and further its initiatives in research, education, and diversity. Renewal dues can be submitted when renewing your certification online.

Please note, renewal dues are $249 and are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Recharging? On Personal Leave? Explore a Certification Deferral

At RPII, we recognize that every career path is unique. Whether you're recharging or taking personal leave, we’re here to support you at every stage of your professional journey. If eligible, a Certification Deferral allows you to pause your Continuing Education (CE) requirement and reduce your renewal dues while you step away from the industry. Additional options are available for those transitioning into retirement.

Missed the Renewal Deadline? Here's How to Reinstate your CRAA® Certification

We understand that life and work can occasionally interfere with deadlines. If your CRAA® certification has lapsed but you’d like to reinstate it, additional fees and renewal requirements may apply. Please note that until your certification is renewed, you are no longer permitted to use the CRAA® certification marks.
