RPII and RPII Real Assets Education Foundation are honored to administer the Scholarship Program, which provides crucial financial assistance to individuals eager to advance their careers through CRAA® certification. These scholarships in the Scholarship Program aim to broaden participation in the CRAA® Program, ensuring the industry reflects the diversity and inclusivity of all stakeholders in the built environment.

All scholarships in the Scholarship Program include discounted registration for the CRAA® Exam and a waived application fee for processing a CRAA® candidate's final application. Please note that applicant guidelines and submission deadlines vary by scholarship, and scholarships may not be available for every exam cycle. Scholarship benefits and eligibility requirements will vary between scholarships offered.

Hoyt Institute is an independent, non-profit research and educational foundation. Our invitation-only membership includes esteemed academics and practitioners who have made seminal contributions to the real estate profession. Our mission is to enhance the quality of public and private real estate decisions by expanding and disseminating the body of knowledge in real estate and land economics. We strive to stimulate innovation within the discipline, build connections among academia, industries, and governmental bodies, and develop innovative solutions to real estate challenges.

Institutional Property Consultants (IPC) is a nationally recognized leader in real assets consulting. With over four decades of experience, IPC has been at the forefront of developing effective real assets strategies for its clients. In line with its commitment to fostering the next generation of talent, IPC offers a scholarship designed to empower young professionals in the real assets field. This scholarship supports students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited institution of higher learning, providing them with valuable resources to advance their careers.

How will I receive my scholarship?

You will receive notification if you are a scholarship recipient via the email address of record on your RPII account. Please note, your actual scholarship discounts will not display immediately. You must navigate through the CRAA® Exam registration process and your scholarship will display on the final total screen before payment. If you do not see your expected scholarship discount, please contact us for assistance at info@rpii.org.

Can I apply for a scholarship after I take the CRAA® Exam?

No, you are not eligible to apply for a scholarship if you have already passed the CRAA® Exam or are awaiting the results of the exam. If you did not pass the CRAA® Exam and choose to retake the exam, you may be eligible to apply for scholarships in future application periods.

Am I eligible for a scholarship?

Eligibility for each scholarship offered through the Scholarship Program varies based on specific criteria. Please review the requirements for each scholarship carefully, as eligibility differs from one scholarship to another.

Can I apply for more than one scholarship at a time?

Yes, you may apply for as many scholarships for which you are eligible; however, you may only receive a maximum of one scholarship.

I am an International Student / Professional. Can I apply?

Eligibility for scholarships may vary based on the specific program. Some scholarships may be available to international students or professionals, while others may have restrictions based on residency or citizenship. Please review the eligibility criteria for each scholarship carefully to determine if international applicants are accepted. Note:  Scholarships provided as discounts for exam fees generally do not involve direct financial transactions and are typically not considered taxable income in the U.S. However, international students should consult with a tax professional in their home country to understand any potential tax implications.

I applied for a scholarship but did not receive one. Can I reapply?

Yes, you can reapply for a scholarship in future application periods. We encourage you to review the eligibility criteria and application deadlines for each scholarship program to ensure you meet the requirements for your next application.

Does my scholarship expire?

Yes, your scholarship will expire. If you are awarded a scholarship, it will be valid for 12 months from the date you are electronically notified of your selection and award. To retain your scholarship, you must register for the CRAA® Exam within this period. If you fail to register for the CRAA® Exam or do not attend the CRAA® Exam sitting for which you registered, you will forfeit your scholarship. Additionally, you will not be eligible to receive future scholarships through the Scholarship Program.
