Exam Pledge

The Exam Pledge is crucial for maintaining the fairness and integrity of the CRAA® Exam. By agreeing to the Pledge, each candidate commits to adhering to the established rules, ensuring a level playing field for all. This commitment guarantees that the certification accurately reflects the hard work and knowledge of those who earn it.

Before taking the CRAA® certification examination (the "Exam"), I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the CRAA® Certification Agreement and the CRAA® Candidate Handbook. I further acknowledge my commitment to adhere to the testing policies outlined in the CRAA® Candidate Handbook (collectively the “Exam Policies”), including but not limited to:

  • Retake Policy
  • Testing Center Regulations
  • Calculator Policy
  • Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy

I confirm that I have not received or provided any information related to the content of the Exam prior to its administration.

During the Exam, I agree to the following:

  • I will not share or receive any information about the content of the Exam.
  • I will refrain from engaging in any form of Exam Misconduct, which includes any behavior that violates the Exam Policies or undermines the reputation, integrity, or security of the Exam.

In the event of actual or suspected Exam Misconduct, RPII reserves the right to take appropriate actions, including but not limited to:

  • Terminating my Exam
  • Withholding my score
  • Voiding my results

Exam Misconduct may occur before, during, or after the Exam and includes, but is not limited to:

  • Disrupting the administration of the Exam.
  • Creating a disturbance during the Exam.
  • Giving or receiving assistance on the Exam, including attempting to communicate with fellow candidates or other persons.
  • Using unauthorized materials such as books, papers, study aids, or electronic devices.
  • Opening, working on, or reading the Exam during a time not authorized by the testing personnel.
  • Removing Exam Materials or notes from the testing center.
  • Engaging in impersonation or other forms of cheating or misrepresentation.
  • Failing to follow directions of testing personnel.
  • Using unapproved calculators, mobile phones, cameras, headsets, computers, tablets, wearable technology, or any other prohibited devices during the Exam.
  • Writing on any paper or other surface before or after the Exam.
  • Asking for, receiving, or using unauthorized Exam questions or prep materials that violate RPII’s copyright.
  • Disclosing or sharing Exam content.
  • Failing to comply with RPII’s Principles and Policies.
  • Engaging in any conduct that compromises the Exam’s reputation, integrity, validity, or security.
  • Altering Exam results or documentation issued by RPII or its testing partner.
  • Falsifying or misrepresenting information related to Exam registration, accommodations, scholarships, conduct, or communications with RPII.
  • Disclosing, publishing, reproducing, or transmitting Exam content.
  • Retaining or sharing Exam questions in any form.
  • Using prohibited aids or communicating about the Exam during its administration.
  • Failing to cooperate with any RPII investigation, including by the Ethics Committee (EC) and Ethics Appeal Board (EAB).

After the Exam, I will not disclose any portion of the Exam and will not remove any Exam materials from the testing room, whether in original or copied form. I understand that all Exam materials, including my answers, are the property of RPII and will not be returned to me.

By agreeing to this pledge, I confirm that I am over the age of 18 and that I have read, understood, and agree to abide by all terms of this CRAA® Certification Exam Pledge.
