CRAA® Exam
Accommodations & Disability Requests

RPII is committed to supporting all aspiring real assets professionals, including those requiring exam accommodations due to disabilities, impairments, or chronic health conditions.

What You Need to Know

Reasonable and appropriate testing accommodations are provided to individuals with disabilities and functional impairments. Requests should be submitted through the Candidate Accommodations Portal, accessible via your CRAA® Candidate Profile. To make an Accommodations Request, you must first be registered to take the CRAA® Exam. Please do not schedule your exam before submitting your Accommodations Request. We cannot guarantee that testing accommodations will be granted, even if you have received similar testing accommodations in the past.

Once approved by RPII, your request will be forwarded to the testing provider, who will work directly with you to schedule your CRAA® Exam appointment and implement all approved testing accommodations. To ensure arrangements can be made, please submit your Accommodations Request no less than six (6) weeks prior to the current examination cycle. RPII cannot guarantee the processing of Accommodation Requests submitted outside this time frame.

Required Supporting Documentation

As part of your Accommodations Request, you must provide documentation from a qualified diagnostic professional that includes a current and comprehensive medical, psychiatric, and/or psychological assessment. The documentation should confirm the diagnosis and explain its relevance to the testing conditions you are seeking, along with the diagnostic professional's specific recommendations and rationale for each requested accommodation. The evaluation must be presented on the diagnostic professional's official letterhead and bear their signature. Documentation supporting your Accommodations Request must have been prepared by a diagnostic professional within the last three (3) years from the date of your Accommodations Request.

Optional Supporting Documentation

You may submit additional documentation that you believe is relevant to demonstrate a history of impairment or limitation. This can include previous evaluation reports, proof of prior testing accommodations, evidence of special educational services or plans, standardized test scores from college-entrance or professional exams, academic records, or other objective third-party documentation. Please note, any information or documentation you submit to RPII will not be returned.

Please do not submit any of the following:

  • Documentation in a language other than English. If you need to submit a non-English document, you must include a word-for-word English translation, along with the original documentation in its native language.
  • Documentation of requests for accommodations with other institutions, organizations, or professional certification bodies. If you have received prior accommodations from another entity, please only submit proof of the accommodations you were granted.
  • Self-diagnostic reports.
  • Academic journal articles and/or research reports.

For any questions about testing accommodations, please contact accommodations@rpii.org. We will be glad to assist. Please note, RPII cannot indicate via email whether a testing accommodations request will be approved.
