Stephanie Yates is a Professor in the Collat School of Business at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the Chair of the Department of Accounting and Finance. Stephanie’s prior work experience includes serving as the Director of the Hickey Financial Technology Center at Siena College in Loudonville, New York and clinical assistant professor at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In 2020, she was named the national president of Alpha Sigma Gamma, a national real estate honor society sponsored by the American Real Estate Society. She has published her research in journals such as Financial Management, International Real Estate Review, Journal of Investing, Journal of Personal Finance, Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management, and Journal of Sustainable Real Estate. She is an associate editor for Journal of Real Estate Literature and has served as a guest editor for Journal of Property Investment and Finance and International Journal of Housing Markets and Analysis. She has also served as an ad hoc reviewer for European Journal of Operational Research, International Review of Financial Analysis, Journal of Financial Counseling, and Planning, Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, and Sustainable Cities and Society. She earned her PhD in Finance from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Stephanie earned her BS in Marketing, MBA in Accounting and MA in International Economics from the University of Cincinnati.
